Music in the Southern Highlands

What's on at St Jude's

St Jude's Music Association

The St Jude’s Music Association was founded on 5 September 2001 with the primary goal of promoting quality music within the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. The Association is dedicated to enhancing the cultural landscape of the region by organising and sponsoring public recitals and concerts held at St Jude’s.

In addition to promoting performances, the Association focuses on supporting the maintenance and development of the organ at St Jude’s. This includes raising funds to ensure the organ remains in excellent condition for continued use. The Association also invests in the future of music by providing scholarship funding to train organists who reside in the Southern Highlands, fostering the growth of local musical talent.

Furthermore, the Association contributes to the local music scene by purchasing musical instruments and scores for ensembles that perform regularly in the area. It also engages in various other activities that support public music performances, ensuring that the Southern Highlands continue to enjoy a vibrant and thriving musical environment.

The Association also sponsors the St Jude's Singers, the Highlands Sinfonia and the annual Bowral Autumn Music Festival.
